Supporting the excellence – Vector Robotics

It is always fascinating to watch smart and young talents who are trying to make some cool stuff in tech.  We had a chance to hear presentation from the Vector Robotics team for Eurobot2020 competition.

This is not the first time they participate in competition in robotics. Their success from last year were 2nd place on National competition and remarkable results in France.

Dušan and Aleksandar represented their team, which count 8 members and explain us all the necessary things to create a robot. They had to complete whole lifecycle from conception, designing all parts, manufacturing all mechanical constructions from many suppliers and our favorite part – to insert a program into robots.

These robots have functionality for picking up the cups and sorting them by the colors.

At the end of the presentation, they left us breathless and shocked with all those details from many disciplines, ideas and efforts they had to involve in creating robots.

We are glad that we can support the excellence of our youth, their desires, efforts, their great achievement and at least participate financially in their project.

We wish them all the best this year and will keep our fingers crossed for all competitions that comes.

Good luck geniuses!

Woman on ICodeFactory Partner Board

Woman on ICodeFactory Partner Board

To celebrate International Women's Day, we decided to introduce you our favorite girl at ICodeFactory, our “Coding Queen”, partner on board, Microsoft Certified Trainer and many more – Marija Brajković.

Marija’s contribution to the innovative ideas, business growth and corporate culture in ICodeFactory was recognized years ago, when she has become one of the managing partners. We asked her a couple of questions about her beginnings in IT and advises for young girls who are searching their career path.

Enjoy reading following interview:

1. What influenced you to pursue a career in IT?
When I finished high school, I hesitated about choosing a college. Accidentally, I stumbled on Faculty of Economics, Business Information Systems module and found myself in programming. I liked it a lot, so an IT was an only logical continuation of my career.

2. How does your MSc in Economics affect your software engineering career?
College degree provides you the big picture of what you are going to do or “base knowledge” as we love to call it in ICodeFactory. Of course, there is practical knowledge you gain on workplace.

Master’s degree in Economics makes it easier for me to understand the domain of requirements, business processes and business side of the project and therefore it helps me to propose better ideas and solutions from both technical and business point of view.

3. What does it feel to be at the ICodeFactory partner board?
It feels good. (smile)

4. What is your favorite part about working at ICodeFactory?
Possibility to constantly expand knowledge. In this technology-driven world, there is always something new outside and you can never stop learning. It is always a good time to start learning something new, and ICodeFactory has built environment for continuous learning, encouraging employees from all departments to learn and share their knowledge.
We grow together, that’s my favorite part.

5. What advice would you give to girls who are considering their career in IT industry?
Be brave, it doesn’t hurt. Follow your passion. You will never get bored in tech.
